Cultural Meanings of the Logo

NBCD ® logo represents a wide array of positive cultural symbols that are connected to African American culture. The round

circle represents the "holistic" and "comprehensiveness" of health, fitness, and lifestyle of all those who follow the New Black

Cultural Diet program.  The multiple stars within the circle represent the pyramids of Egypt in Africa reflecting the disapora of African American history with the continent and peoples of Africa. The color green represents nature and how we must live in harmony with nature and all its beauty and vitality. The three waving lines represent the river Nile in Africa as well as all the oceans on Earth. It conveys that all of us are connected to each other either by rivers or by oceans and that these connections bring us together in the areas of health, fitness and lifestyle.
